Book Buddies: A Joyful Chapter in Reading and Community

Norbury Manor Primary School is delighted to share the success of its first termly 'Book Buddy' event, which took place on Wednesday 22nd October 2025. This inspiring program paired older students with younger students, creating powerful reading mentorships. It was truly heart-warming to witness the joy of shared reading as our older pupils acted as role models, boosting the younger children's literacy skills, comprehension, and reading confidence.

This event perfectly embodies our core value of Community. Through the Book Buddy initiative, we are actively developing the children's ability to work in a team and fostering a responsible and caring attitude towards each other and our school environment , which is part of what Community means to us.
