Visit to the Unicorn Theatre
On Friday 2nd December, Year 2 visited the Unicorn Theatre in London in Southwark.
They went to see a production of ‘Baddies.’
The story revolves around the ‘baddies’ from some well-known fairy tales.
The big bad wolf from Little Red Riding Hood, Rumpelstiltskin, The Ugly Sisters and Captain Hook have been ripped out of their stories and thrown in jail for being bad. The characters must work together to determine who’s decided to change the fairy-tale rulebook and why.
The children really enjoyed the play, and here’s what some of them had to say about the experience:
‘I liked the bit where the ugly sisters were singing, it was funny.’‘I got a bit scared when the wolf was shouting.’‘I Rumpelstiltskin was very funny, he had a funny voice.’‘I liked the part when the princess came, she was very pretty.’
The children had a great experience, and really enjoyed watching a live performance.
