Norbury Manor Primary School

2025 World Book Day

At Norbury Manor Primary School, we believe that fostering a love of reading is essential for our pupils' academic and personal development. That's why we enthusiastically celebrate World Book Day each year, providing our community with engaging activities and opportunities to explore the wonders of literature.

This year, we were thrilled to welcome a children's author to our school. During their visit, the author led a series of interactive workshops, inspiring our pupils to dive deeper into the stories they love. The workshops were a resounding success, with our pupils eagerly participating and asking thought-provoking questions.

As part of our World Book Day celebrations, we encouraged all our pupils to dress up as their favourite book characters. The colourful costumes and imaginative interpretations were a true delight, showcasing the creativity and enthusiasm of our "learners today, leaders tomorrow." Throughout the day, our pupils engaged in a variety of literacy-focused activities, from reading aloud to book-themed crafts, further reinforcing our school's commitment to excellence in education.

To further promote a love of reading, we hosted a book sale where our pupils and their families could purchase new titles to add to their personal collections. The event was a tremendous success, with our community enthusiastically supporting our efforts to cultivate a love of literature.

To commemorate this special day, we have compiled a video showcasing the highlights of our World Book Day celebrations. We invite you to watch the video and explore the captivating images that capture the joy and excitement of our pupils as they immersed themselves in the world of books.
